RED DUST Film Preview
ANTaR Fundraiser Screening

Bring your friends: support the fight against racism!

Red Dust exposes the truth about the insults and crimes of racial discrimination in South Africa under apartheid. The film is based on the book by Gillian Slovo, daughter of Joe Slovo and Ruth First who were prominent white activists against apartheid in South Africa, working alongside Nelson Mandela.

The film tells the story of a young, black politician, tortured in the struggle against apartheid, who now opposes his former abuser’s application for amnesty for fear of what the trial may reveal. Red Dust is a powerful drama, set against the backdrop of South Africa’s 'Truth and Reconciliation Commission’ hearings. The Commission was created to heal the wounds of apartheid and help close the most painful chapter in the country’s history.

Starring : Hilary Swank, 2 Oscars: Million Dollar Baby, Boys Don’t Cry
