This year, due to extraordinary circumstances, there will be two concerts in Sydney on Invasion Day, January 26.

Yabun Concert - Waverley Oval

Gadigal Information Services is organising the free Yabun Concert at Waverley Oval from 2pm - 7pm. Features: pop sensations Shakaya, the Fresh Dancers, Glenn Skulthorpe, Frances Williams, Jason Scott, Jimmy Little Jnr, and MC Wire and friends. There will be a welcoming by Gadigal elder, Alan Madden, and speakers including DAA director-general Linda Burney, Democrat Senator Aden Ridgway, MCs Sean Choolburra and Leah Purcell. Also information stalls and food and drink stalls. An alcohol and drug-free event.

Survival Concert - La Perouse

The NSW Aboriginal Land Council (NSWALC) is funding the National Indigenous Arts Advocacy Association (NIAAA) to stage this year's Survival Concert at Woomera Oval, La Perouse. Survival will feature Broome-based comedian, Mary G, the Queen of the Kimberley. Further details not available at this stage. Contact NSWALC offices for further information.
